Apple Maps follows Google in renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America only in U.S.
Apple Maps has followed in Google Maps' footsteps and officially renamed the Gulf of Mexico the “Gulf of America” for U.S. users, following an executive order signed by President Donald Trump. Apple made this change on Tuesday, February 11, a day after Google formally changed the name.
